in late december of 1914, in the midst of ww1, along the tumultuous western coast, the fighting paused. instead of crossing the battlefield lines with bullets– people from both sides WALKED across with food and drink in hand. known as the christmas truce, this phenomenon is not an anomaly. business deals, political agreements, family gatherings, and culminating with old friends all happen over meals.
in its most basic sense, at homemade, we believe food inherently brings people together... why else would we have been eating in cafeterias since kindergarten.
homemade is a group of various self-starters from a broad range of backgrounds. each team member is passionate about cooking and creating a unique platform to share their culinary journeys and cultural histories.
john "jeep" m. damoose
(founder, ceo, head of design & innovation)
from nonprofits, start-ups, legislative policy, and political campaigns, jeep brings a multitude of leadership and work experience to homemade. after graduating from columbia university, jeep served as the campaign manager for congressman jack bergman, leading a successful re-election campaign in 2024. additionally, jeep has worked directly for the columbia school of journalism and the nonprofit, the uniform funding foundation. at his brief stint with tuff, alongside their board of directors, he raised $250k for their philanthropic efforts. jeep founded news lettuce l.l.c. in 2022 which has proudly and consistently served individuals, nonprofits, start-ups, and small businesses since their inception.

from politics, cuisine, and fashion, aidan brings his vast wealth of knowledge to homemade. graduating from columbia university this coming spring, aidan is excited to work full time on creating a cultural culinary community.
lydia elizabeth

in 2021, lydia completed her undergraduate degree in graphic art from notre dame. in 2022, she received a masters of science and management from notre dame. lydia has performed fruitful work in both the educational and philanthropic sector.
garrett langley

garrett graduated from notre dame in 2022 with a degree in physics with a concentration in nuclear and oberservational physics. he has previous analytical experience in both the research and financial realms. garrett is excited to bring his backend software expertise into the startup space.
